Christmas Vacation Cousin Eddie Christmas Ornament

Cousin Eddie's Unapologetic Holiday: A Moose Mug-Wielding Icon Comes to Your Tree

If your holiday tree is missing a palpable sense of chaotic, well-meaning mischief, allow us to introduce you to Cousin Eddie—the unforgettable character from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation who has redefined what it means to be "that guest" at the family gathering. This charming resin ornament captures him in his iconic glory: pale green pants perfectly coordinated with a white-trimmed vest, beaming smile, and—most importantly—his beloved moose mug held proudly in his hands. Released in 1989, the film starring Chevy Chase became an instant holiday classic, and Eddie Clark (played with infectious gusto by Randy Quaid) claimed his spot as the unforgettable relative who teaches us all that the holidays are made better by embracing the weird, the wonderful, and the wonderfully awkward. This ornament celebrates that beautiful chaos.

Cousin Eddie represents something deeply American about the holidays: the celebration of quirky family traditions, the triumph of enthusiasm over etiquette, and the sheer determination to have fun regardless of social convention. His moose mug became legendary in pop culture, serving as a symbol of his unapologetic, larger-than-life personality. Whether you're a devoted fan of the film, someone who identifies with the feeling of being the "wild card" at family gatherings, or simply appreciate ornaments with personality and backstory, this tribute to Eddie captures the essence of a character who stole every scene he was in. Hang this charming figure on your tree and let him be your annual reminder that the best Christmases are never the ones perfectly planned—they're the ones filled with unexpected laughter, genuine warmth, and characters like Cousin Eddie who make the memories unforgettable.
